Welcome! We are a Covid Clean Clinic
You are going to notice things look & feel a bit different since your last
visit. We have taken steps to keep you safe during the Covid 19
pandemic. We call these initiatives our Covid Clean Clinic protocol.
Here’s what to expect.
Before You Arrive

During Your Visit
•
Entrance by Appointment: Entrance to our office is by
appointment only. Please call (630) 852-0102 to schedule an
appointment.
•
Socially Distanced Appointments: To minimize your interaction
with other patients, we have reduced the number of patients we
will see and have distanced appointment times. As such, please
realize your reserved time is valuable.
•
Demographic Changes: To minimize your time in the office, if
there are any changes to your name, address, telephone, email, or
insurance information please call our office to update prior to your
appointment.
•
Pre-Health Screening: Please call us if you can answer YES to
any of the following:
o
Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of
CoVID-19?
o
Do you currently have a cough?
o
Have you had a fever within the past 3 days?
o
Are you experiencing any chills, muscle pain, headaches, sore
throat, new loss of taste or smell?
•
Mask Required: Please bring your face mask with you. You must
wear this in the office.
•
Contact Lens / OrthoK Supplies: To minimize the use of
communal bottles, bring your own solutions & supplies needed to
insert and remove your contact lenses / orthoK retainers.
•
Remain In Your Car: To reduce your time in the office and to
minimize contact with other patients please remain in you car till
your appointed time.
•
Companions: To limit the number of people in our facility, those
accompanying you should remain in the car whenever possible. If it
is essential for your companion to remain with you while in the
office, such as with minor children, then a maximum of one
companion/parent may accompany you.
•
Children & Siblings: Children & siblings should not accompany
patients to the office.
•
Food & Beverages: You may bring a beverage with you if
desired. No food please.
•
Face Masks: Please put on your face mask prior to entering the
office. Make certain it covers your mouth & nose. Your face mask
must remain on unless instructed to remove it by the doctor or
staff.
•
Temperature Screening: Your temperature will be taken with a
non-contact infrared thermometer upon entering the office. If your
body temperature reads greater than 100 degrees your
appointment will be rescheduled.
•
Hand Hygiene: You will be asked to wash your hands upon
arrival. Additionally, hand sanitizer will be available throughout the
office.
•
Social Distancing: To the extent possible we are practicing
social distancing. Limiting the number of people in the office,
waiting area chairs moved apart, shields at the front desk, and the
removal of magazines, brochures & candy dishes (sorry!), are
some of the changes you will see. Please help us by practicing
social distancing.
•
Sanitation: Instruments & surfaces are sanitized after each
patient encounter and prior to your visit.
•
Personal Protective Equipment: Doctor & Staff will be wearing
face masks and, when indicated, face shields. Additional barriers
are placed on some instrumentation. To the extent possible, every
effort will be made to minimize personal contact during your visit.
•
Eyeglass Frame Sanitation: Frames are cleaned & sanitized
after each patient. Our staff will instruct you on proper procedures
for trying on frames.
•
Frame Selection Isolation Room: We have created a personal
isolation room in which you may remove your mask to try on and
choose your perfect frames. Companions are welcome to witness
& assist you from outdoors or via video calls.
•
Payment Processing: Scanners have been installed, allowing
you to self-swipe credit cards. Your singnature is no longer
required.
